Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas- For Your Galentine and the Men in Your Life

Ok, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner y’all! I’ve never actually been super into Valentine’s Day as a “romantic” holiday, but I do love it. The day doesn’t have to be all about celebrating only if you have a romantic relationship, I’ve always thought of it more as a time to celebrate all the relationships in your life. Don’t get me wrong; I wouldn’t say no to a fancy, candlelit dinner and some romance. But I think Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to make sure we let all of our most important people know how special they are to us! I’m talking parents, brothers, sisters, friends, children, and in-laws, whoever your “people” are! And it doesn’t have to be big, grand gestures. Send a text. Make a quick phone call. Or better yet, send a card! I LOVE getting mail. One of my sisters is great about just randomly sending little “thinking of you” cards, and I absolutely LOVE finding those little notes tucked in with all the bills and junk in my mailbox. If I haven’t convinced you yet that Valentine’s Day is great for everyone, here are some more reasons I think we should all get onboard with embracing this holiday:

  1. The day is all about LOVE, and if there is one thing this world needs a little more of, its love. So take this chance to spend the day spreading love and kindness to everyone around you!
  2. It’s a holiday, which means celebrating, and really we should all take any chance we get to incorporate a little more celebrating into our lives.
  3. Candy. Really, I think this point speaks for itself, but, am I wrong or is holiday themed candy always the best?!?!  (I’m pretty sure I’m right)

We’ve now established that we all love Valentine’s Day and we’re going to spread some love and kindness. But what if, you- like me, LOVE giving gifts?? Well I’m glad you asked because I have a couple of little gift guides for you! This is another reason I love pretty much all holidays, they are the perfect excuse to give gifts! Giving gifts and putting together little gift baskets brings me so much joy.

First up, some Valentine’s Day gift Ideas for Her. These would all be great for your Galentine or to show yourself a little love!

  1. Valentine’s Day Graphic Tees. I just think these are super cute! And they are really soft and actually pretty comfy. I may or may not have gotten 2 of these for myself…
  2. Cute Fuzzy Slippers. For some reason, I can’t stand to walk around the house barefoot so I’m always either wearing shoes or slippers. I like these because my feet don’t get as hot as when I’m wearing full slippers. And they come in a bunch of colors!
  3. Rose Quartz Face Roller. So this is actually something that is on my wish list right now. I’ve seen so many great reviews about them! And it’s such a pretty pink, which is perfect for Valentine’s Day.
  4. Dior Lip Glow. One of my sisters actually introduced me to this product. It’s not a gloss and it’s not a “chapstick” but it’s hydrating, it doesn’t dry your lips out, and it gives you such a pretty light pink lip tint. I actually included this in my bridesmaids’ proposal boxes!
  5. One Line A Day. This is a 5 year memory journal that my mom got for my sisters and I this Christmas, and I have been loving it! You just jot down a couple of thoughts or memories from each day. I am really looking forward to being able to really look back and remember exactly what was going on in my life, one year ago, two years ago etc. I have never been a journal or diary kind of girl, but this is so easy to keep up with!
  6. Perfume. I think any perfume is a great gift, but this is one of my favorites. I have three regular frangrances on rotation depending on the day/ occasion. The three I use the most are Pistachio Brulee, which I have only ever found at Urban Outfitters, Live in Love by Oscar de le Renta, and Eau de Parfum by Juicy Couture.
  7. Voluspa Candle. I am addicted to candles. And more specifically, these candles. I love all candles but there are three fragrances by Voluspa that are my ABSOLUTE favorites. You need Baltic Amber, French Cade Lavender, and Suede Blanc. Burn them all at the same time. Thank me later.
  8. Mini Waffle Maker. This is another one that is actually on my wish list. I recently saw on her Insta stories blogger Dani Austin making cinnamon rolls on her mini waffle maker, and I need to try it!! I’m also curious if you could throw a little cookie dough in there for an instant cookie waffle…

Next, Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas for Him.

  1. Beard King. This. Is. A. Game. Changer. If you have a man in your life who needs to trim his beard and is constantly getting hair bits ALL OVER. You need this. I got these for Brian and the other boys for Christmas and it makes a huge difference! We still have some beard trimming fall out on the counter, but nothing like it used to be.
  2. Cologne. The Ralph Lauren Black is my absolute favorite men’s cologne.
  3. Yeti Tumbler. So Brian actually recently got an “off” brand of this from his new job, but he freaking LOVES the darn thing. He only has the one. And he uses it for coffee and his propel. He loves that it really keeps his hot drinks hot and his cold drinks cold haha. So I’m thinking he is going to need a couple more.
  4. Food Dehydrator. If your man, like mine, loves jerky snacks, this would be such a neat gift!
  5. Ugg Slippers. I actually got these for Brian as a gift a couple of years ago and he still wears them all the time and loves them. We are both slipper/house shoe people.
  6. Back Massager. This is one of those gifts that could be kind of for him, but also kind of for you.
  7. Codenames Duet. Brian and I love board games. And this is one that is great for two people. Some other board games that have found to play great for two players are Settlers of Catan (literally the only board game that I have been able to beat Brian), Forbidden Dessert and Pandemic are cooperative games (Brian likes these because I’m kind of a sore loser), and Harry Potter Battle of Hogwarts Defense Against the Dark Arts (I love anything Harry Potter themed).
  8. Swiss Army Pocket Knife. I saw this while scrolling through Amazon the other day, and thought to myself, Brian needs this. Does he actually? Who knows. But it seems like the kind of thing all guys should have!

If you couldn’t tell from the beginning of this post, I love pretty much all holidays and am always happy to have another reason to celebrate and give gifts! What’s your favorite holiday or time to celebrate?

XOXO Jaye
