Mother’s Day Gift Ideas: 14 Great Gifts Moms Will Love

Believe it or not, friends, Mother’s Day is just around the corner! Ok- so it’s not for another month…but still, its gonna sneak up on us (it always catches me off guard). This year I’m trying to be prepared though so I’ve come up with 14 great Mother’s Day gift ideas to get you started!

My family is actually pretty good about getting together to celebrate Mother’s Day (I think mainly because it usually coincides very closely with the twins’ birthday and so we get to have two separate celebrations with one gathering of our people). This year, Mother’s Day celebrations may not include large family get-togethers though (but I’m hoping we have the all clear to have social gatherings again by then!!).

If we won’t be able to celebrate our mothers by spending time with her this year, we need to make an extra effort to show her how loved and important she is!

Do you have trouble shopping for your mother? I do, sometimes! Sometimes I like for my gifts to be useful and practical, sometimes I try to get something more indulgent. And I ALWAYS love a good themed gift basket! Here are some ideas of gifts for your mom that could be either, or both (depending on your mom). And with increased distribution, packaging, and shipping times right now, it’s probably not a bad idea to get a head start on our shopping so here are my Mother’s Day gift ideas.

Personalized

  1. Card.

Whatever you decide to do for your mom, grandmother, mother-in-law, or mother figure, include a handwritten, personal note. She will love it and it will probably mean more to her than anything else. I love getting mail, and getting a hand written note from my mom, sister or a friend in the mail is always a welcome surprise that brings me so much joy. I love, love, love all the Rifle Paper Co. stationary so order a Mother’s Day card or beautiful card set and start sending your family and loved ones happy mail.

2. Jewelry.

Over the years, we have given my mom several pieces of personalized jewelry. And she has cried every time (she’s such a sweet, emotional lady).  But she has genuinely cherished everything and takes pride in showing them off. I am loving the Made By Mary shop right now. They have so many beautiful, dainty options for creating personalized necklaces, bracelets, and rings.

3. Photo Album.

I don’t know about you, but I used to love to sit on the floor of our family room flipping through old family photo books. And I miss that in this age of digital media. I have started having photo albums made after big vacations/trips and at the end of the year with highlights from the past year. And I bet your mom would be over the moon thrilled to get a picture book with you and your family’s recent highlights. I’ve tried several different companies and I have found Chatbooks to be the most affordable and user friendly. It’s so easy to put together a photo album right from your phone.

Tickle Her Taste Buds

Holidays and special occasions are basically a free pass to indulge and treat ourselves to something we wouldn’t normally eat or drink. I love making homemade desserts and large, indulgent meals for special occasions but if we aren’t able to gather together this year, you can still send your mom beautiful, delicious treats!

4. Edible Arrangements.

Who doesn’t love chocolate covered fruit?!?! They have many different arrangements to choose from.

5. Cheryl’s Cookies.

Just trust me on this one, this cookies are AMAZING!! I’m about to order some for myself….

6. The Popcorn Factory.

If your mom loves gourmet popcorn, you definitely need to check out this site. They offer a wide variety of popcorn flavors for delivery as well as Popcorn of the Month subscriptions!!

Tickle Her Nose Buds

7. Flowers.

I know, I know….flowers are kind of cliché. But I love a beautiful floral arrangement and most people don’t always have vases of fresh flowers around the house. And they really do brighten up the room! If flowers are too traditional for your taste, send your mom a potted plant or succulent. If she’s a gardener, you could send her a plant to transfer to her garden!

8. Candle.

If your mom doesn’t like flowers (some people don’t), send her a lovely candle. Voluspa is my absolute favorite candle brand. My favorite scents are French Cade Lavender, Baltic Amber, and Suede Blanc.

Comfies

We are all spending more time at home than usual right now, so send your mom something to help make her extra time at home extra comfy and cozy!

9. Bathrobe.

Every woman needs a luxurious robe to lounge in. A few great options at different price points are here, here, and here.

10. Slippers.

Lets keep her toes warm and cozy as she’s lounging in her robe!

11. Lounge set.

Because, is anyone actually wearing real clothes right now? Gift her a cute new set to parade around the house!

Practical/Impractical

This is where it will be more helpful to know your mom and what her actual hobbies and interests are. So some of these may or may not be the best for your mom, I’ll let you be the judge of that.

12. Gardening Gadgets.

If your mom has a green thumb and enjoys working out in her flowerbeds, help her do her labor of love in style.

13. TAO Clean Sonic Toothbrush.

I think this is one of the coolest things I’ve seen recently. This is an electronic toothbrush with a base that uses UV light to kill 99.9% of bacteria after each use! Wow! Mind blown. And if you order through their website, they are offering 62% off right now.

14. BruMate.

If your mom is a wine drinker, this is a summer time must have! These super cute insulators will keep a full bottle of wine chilled for 24 hours, perfect for traveling, and can go to beaches and pools where glass isn’t allowed!

What do you think will be perfect for your mom?? Do you have any other Mother’s Day gift ideas? If not, I hope this gave you a great place to start!

XOXO Jaye
