Father’s Day Gift Ideas: For the Last Minute Shopper

Ok people, Father’s Day is now 5 days away! So for all my procrastinator friends out there, here are some last minute Father’s Day gift ideas for you. The best part is, all of these items can be found IN stores that most communities have. That means you can still find something great for dad without worrying about shipping times. And I think we can all attest to the fact that nothing is shipping as quickly these days with added COVID-19 precautions.

Grab your hand sanitizer and face mask and get your booty over to your local Target, Walmart, Kohl’s, or sporting good store. If you’re lucky, you might even have an actual lululemon store near by! But wherever you live, I guarantee you have some great places to shop for your last minute gifts. Even better, get some inspiration here, and then go out and support your local small businesses.

But remember, at the end of the day, it’s not the things or gifts that will matter to dad. Give him an actual call. Send him some snail mail. Tell him how much you love him and how great he is. Truly, the best gift you can give, is your time and undivided attention.

Target

I think we can all agree that Target is one of the greatest stores of all time. And when it comes to Father’s Day gift ideas, it did not disappoint!! From electronics to yard games to grilling and outdoor accessories, they pretty much have it all.

Walmart

Walmart is another great, one stop shop where you can finds TONS of great stuff dad is sure to love. They have tools, car stuff, more outdoor gear, even a book or two that might interest dad.

Dick’s Sporting Goods

These days every community probably has a Dick’s, Hibbet, REI, Bass Pro, Academy Sports or something similar. If your dad is anything like mine, he can probably find something for just about every single one of his hobbies at a Dick’s or Bass Pro. But here in Columbus we have a Dick’s Sporting Goods so that’s where I focused my attention. First, Dick’s is a Yeti retailer. And I think most dad’s are pretty much obsessed with all things Yeti. Second, I definitely tend to gravitate towards golf themed gifts because my dad loves golfing when he has the time.

Kohl’s

Lots of men, including dads, struggle with their style and dressing themselves. I don’t know what it is about that Y chromosome, but it seems to give men a mental block when it comes to picking out clothing. That’s one of the many reasons they need us women so much! And I LOVE the Sonoma clothing brand at Kohl’s. Especially the short sleeve button down shirts. They have lots of great solid color and pattern options to keep dad looking great all summer! The shirts are good quality, look nice, and are at a great price point.

lululemon

Lululemon isn’t only for the ladies. They also have great athletic and casual clothing for men! We have gotten my dad a pair or two of lulu shorts over the years, and let me just tell you, he definitely has an extra little bounce in his step when he’s wearing them. So if you want to splurge a little and really spoil dad this year, head over to your lululemon retail store (if you’re lucky enough to have one) and grab dad a sweet ensemble.

Alright, that’s just a few last minute Father’s Day gift ideas to get your creative juices flowing. I know these are all big name retailers, but whenever possible try to shop local and support your local small businesses. I know they would really appreciate your patronage now more than ever.

Remember though, the best gift you can give anyone is your love, time, and attention. So if you can, go be with your dad this weekend. Virtually, or in person, I know it will mean the world to him.

XOXO, stay well friends

Jaye
